Night Landing at Lai Khe348 viewsWith the aperture open this photo is an aircraft landing. You can see when he turned on the landing light both in flight and as it appears on the runway. The runway lights were artillery canisters buried alongside the runway filled with JP-4 and lit. The fire in the back ground was from a previous fire fight.

Air Traffic Control at Lai Khe444 viewsI had just returned from R&R and was asleep in my hooch when there was a knock on the door. In walked my best friend from high school. He had come to the Phu Loi PX and was walking back to the main gate to get a ride back to his base, Lai Khe. I went to the first Sergeant asked if I could have a 3 day pass to go to Lai Khe.
