Gunship Shot Down

Lt Jim Puhala, WO Bob Kelly, CC Davey Armstrong, and DG Pee Pie Pierce (Med Evaced to Japan)
were in a Huey Gunship that was shot down 8 November 1967 North of Phan Thiet.
From Bob Kelly: "After shoot down - we had just reached a creek bed 50 feet away and took cover a short time before our huey blew up as shown in this picture. I was crouching and Jim as standing. The concussion from the blast knocked us both to the ground. There were three Purple Hearts awarded.
